English program 2020

As the Emancipatory Left List (ElLi), we are committed to an emancipatory and pluralistic university policy at the student council. This means for us: to make self-determined and solidary studying possible by reducing disadvantages and a clear political positioning of the student body: feminist, anti-fascist and anti-racist. For this we need your vote in the 2020 committee elections!

As an egalitarian list, we aim to counter the dogma of turbo studies and pressure to perform with ideas for individual and collective emancipation. We want to offer freedom for independent learning, regardless of parental home and budget. That is why we also contradict a logic of capitalist exploitation that only promotes economically profitable research and teaching. Our university must be a civil and (basic) democratic institution that progressively participates in social changes and political discourses.

We support the solidarity semester! A normal course of study is not possible under the conditions of the corona virus. The next winter semester will also be affected by measures to prevent the virus from spreading. We are committed to the concept of a solidarity semester at the FSU. In particular, far-reaching financial support for students should be enforced and offers for psychological support and counselling for students should be created.

We want to focus on the improvement of living and working conditions and support initiatives that work towards a climate-friendly university. The implementation of the climate requirements drawn up by the student body, must continue to be pursued with emphasis by advising and supporting the university and the student union in the implementation through the StuRa.

We use the university as a special venue for social discourse and want to carry these discourses out of the university and into a broader public. The work in the departements is a core element of a critical student body. In the student body, as everywhere, there should be no room for structural discrimination, misanthropy and egoism. We advocate an emancipatory, feminist and anti-fascist perspective in the student council. A critical analysis of university policy is just as necessary as a critical reflection of our own goals.

We need transparent structures in the self-administration of the student body. The work of the student council should be in the interest of all students. For us, this also means that the networking between StuRa and the students must be further developed. True to the motto: Imagine there are StuRa elections and everyone is voting!
